Food Festival July 11th 2026

Published: 30 Jun 26

The Ammanford Food Festival was introduced for the first time in 2025 and proved to be a highly successful event, receiving very positive feedback from residents, visitors, traders and local businesses. The event generated significant footfall within the town centre, increased community engagement and supported local businesses by attracting visitors from across the wider area. The Town Council is proposing to deliver the Food Festival again in 2026 with an expanded programme to further enhance the visitor experience. This year’s event will include additional children’s craft activities and family-friendly entertainment to encourage greater community participation and provide more activities for younger attendees. A total of 33 stalls have already registered to participate in this year’s event, offering a diverse range of food, drink, artisan products and local produce. The strong level of interest from traders demonstrates the growing popularity and value of the event within the community. The primary purpose of the Food Festival is to increase footfall within Ammanford Town Centre, support local businesses and create a vibrant community atmosphere. By providing a free-to-attend event with entertainment and activities for all ages, the festival aims to deliver an inclusive family day out that promotes community wellbeing, supports economic activity and encourages residents and visitors to spend time within the town centre.
