After being closed for a number of years, we are now taking the first steps towards bringing this much-loved space back to life for the community.
Your ideas will help shape a playground that meets the needs of children, families and residents – now and for years to come.
Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, young person or local resident – this is your chance to have a say. Every response matters and will help guide the design and features of the new playground. Community engagement is central to this project. Residents, families and local stakeholders are being invited to take part in a consultation process to share their views, priorities and ideas. Feedback gathered will help shape the final design and ensure the playground reflects the aspirations of those who use it most.
We hope that the new park designs will encourage physical activity, social interaction and outdoor play. The proposed redevelopment will include improved accessibility, updated play equipment, safer surfacing and enhanced landscaping, ensuring the space meets current safety standards and community needs.
The redevelopment of Riverway Playground will support healthier lifestyles, strengthen community wellbeing and help revitalise this area of Ammanford for future generations.
